I usually send:

carriage return
DE K6LL K6LL
carriage return
carriage return

This improves the odds that Writelog, and perhaps
some other rtty programs, will highlight my
callsign and make it "clickable."

Writelog will highlight anything following "DE"
as a callsign. Writelog will also highlight any
callsign in its database, provided that it is
followed by at least two characters, therefore
requiring the two carriage returns to highlight
the second "K6LL."
