I saw character strings in the noise that were probably you, but never
got anything like a copyable call.  If I'd been on a DXpedition, I'd
have called you, though.

The ones that make me laugh are the ones who send "599" multiple
times.  At least the call, even my own, conveys some information.

The 9V1 called me when I'd just finshed an QSO while S&P, and I worked
him then and there.  If I were the CQing station, I'd just watch and
then reclaim the frequency.  I've called the wrong station just enough
to know that it's unintentional, at least sometimes (probably not when
it's Phil, though).  And since I tend to just drop my call in twice,
then I can cover usually, so nobody knows.  That may be a cause of
some dups, BTW.

I had a good time, but do think I need an amp.

Running JA's on 40M in the early morning here was fun and new to me.
