I would also suggest not using the "K" and "BK" at the end of the
transmission. They are useful for CW but have no value for RTTY. Being a
continuous carrier mode, when the RTTY carrier drops it is obviously your
turn to transmit. Unlike CW, there is no possible confusion as to when the
sending station has stopped.
For casual ragchewing this is of little consequence, but for DXing and
contesting, time is of the essence. Over the course of thousands of QSOs,
that little bit of extra time adds up to many minutes wasted. Do the math
and see for yourself.
