It's obvious. Most of the world only has access to 7000-7100 kHz as
the 40m band. 7040 is the RTTY calling frequency, because 7030 is the
QRP CW calling frequency in most of the world.
Hopefully, this will chance as the rest of the world expands to
7000-7200 kHz. Give it about five years.
