Im sorry, I failed to make my point(assuming that I have one!!).
For those folk chasing paper , such as was, dxcc , etc, for arrl
verification purposes, is the 5/9,599 actually have  to be exchanged to get
a qsl in  order to apply for such an award?
for example if I worked any of you and needed a card for verification  for
dxcc, was, etc, and we failed to exhance signal reports, is that contact
valid as far as arrl is concerned??
absent the 5/9 599 report what would go on the qsl??
I agree contest and dx signal reports are a farce--no question here on that.
 this is where, I hope, Im coming from
