Hello!

I was not going to go in for this contest full scale, was in the cabin with
GF and had only 100W, no DX-cluster, dipols for 15-20-40 on same feed and a
wire vertical for 80m.

Worked a couple of stations (162 to be exact) but one station really got me
thinking.
I am not a stubborn, mean retard that likes to complain and get angry about
things and to be honest, this is the first time since I got my licence that
I have a urge to say my opinion.

There was this station (No names or calls) in a continent south of me.
He/she/they seemed to have some trouble getting the calls in the log because
obviously he/she/they were a multiplier.
So, on sunday eve they went split. Listening 1 to 3 up. What happend was
that the KH6 that was just above noise and several other stations got buried
in pile-ups.

I may be a young fart, only 31, and I only had my license for almost 9 years
but what I have always been tought about contests is that working split is a
No-No.
For me, this behavior is a way of cheating.
First taking up it's own QRG and then 3 KHz more for callers in a precious
contest band segment.
2nd, it is easier to get a better rate with split due to not having to call
several times becuase the caller cant always hear you in the pile.
3rd, the stations that used to be on the caller QRGs dissapeared and made it
hard for those who wanted to work them to get in the log.

What happends next?
The station started calling "QSX 1-3up NA only NA".
Is this contest operating?

I may be stupid! Please correct me if I am wrong.
What do you all think? Should we work split in contests ????
