In regard to 599 or 5NN or any exchange in any contest: Since 599 is really meaningless, how about sending a simple exchange indicating your station capabilities such as: 100D or 5Y or 1000V (or KWV) for 100 watts to a dipole, qrp to a yagi and a kw to a vertical respectively. It would be helpful in knowing what paths are open. Dave K2YG
