[RTTY] Is West Virginia rare???

This was my first RTTY contest and I will be back again for sure.  I was a 
SingleOp-Low power station with the state ID of WV for West Virginia.  I had 
a bunch of people thanking me for my WV exchange as some mentioned that 
weren't any other WV stations on for the contest.

So I ask is WV a rareity in contests like RTTY and others or was I just 
being lead astray???

If not maybe a better setup is called for quicker than I had thought????
