[RTTY] W2JGR/0 a Silent Key

I had an e-mail note from Jay Bellows, K0QB, the ARRL Dakota Division 
Director, that Jules passed away some time Monday.

Jules spent most of his life here on LI where he was president of LIDXA 
and an avid RTTY operator.  About fifteen years ago he moved to MN to be 
near a daughter but managed
to secure permission for a tower atop one of the largest condos in 
town.  In the last few years as his sight went he was not too active.  
Many of us will have fiond memories of working him in a
contest or meeting him at the RTTY Dinners at Dayton.

My best memory of Jules will always be the trip to Dayton one year in 
the late 1980's where Jules rode along with me.  The 14 hour trip seemed 
to fly with the conversation with Jules both ways.  He was a very 
interesting guy who had a very interesting life.  He has a grandson who 
is a ham in Finland thanks to Martti Laine, OH2BH.

Jules will be missed.
