Suppose we RTTY'ers abandon the 170 Hz shift and use something 
narrower? Something that would fit in the proposed 200 Hz sub-band?

Perhaps an entirely new mode without the drawbacks of PSK31, one 
designed from the ground up for DXing and contesting?
