Just two throw my two bits in again-

I think the definitive part of SO2R is that you can RECEIVE WHILE
TRANSMITTING.  That means multiple-receive-channel radios or software
is not enough.

   Simple question, would MultiPSK Panoramic RTTY mode be SO2R?  

   It does allow multiple reception all be it in the audio band pass.
