[RTTY] SO2R vs. SO1R - a pertinent question

It is an advantage to the extend that antenna availability/selection 
is an advantage.

No we have not "debunked" the beam theory and we have not debunked 
the skills theory.  Every one of them is a tool ... they cannot be 
considered in a vacuum as you insist on doing with SOxR.

Sure ... I would not take an 80 meter beam at 200 feet over a 
dipole at 50 feet in Sweepstakes from Ohio but I'd take an 80 
meter beam over a dipole in a heartbeat for a DX contest.  
Making the right choice is part of the skill that a good operator 
learns in a career of contesting.  

Again, to dismiss one tool or skill as being an unfair advantage 
because you don't like it just plain wrong. SOxR complies completely 
with all the rules of the "single operator category" ... if you 
want to "limit" the category, limit all hardware "assistance" - 
SOxR, gain antennas, etc.
