[RTTY] RTTY and the IC 7000

John,
The Icom, like most 100w solid state rigs, is rated at 40w on AM not because
of duty cycle, but because of the method of amplitude modulation employed by
these rigs. If the AM carrier power was 100W there would not be any reserve
left for the PEP produced by modulation. On the other hand, you can run 100W
on FM.
