#2 ALWAYS please! Having spent most of the contest at the other end of the big pile, I can tell you it is very frustrating to get:

HC8N DE POIQWUEDNCOQIUWSQPOIDJXPQOJDPOQKSQ

Just send your call, and maybe one DE - give me chance to copy YOUR characters - I already know who I am!

Now, if there is a pileup, leading with the guy's call is a good idea:

<hiscall> <exchange> <yourcall>

This is the time to send both calls - when you have the frequency.
