This isn't exactly what you asked, but something to consider:

Using the DXLabs suite of programs, importing your ADIF log file into
DXKeeper is easy, and once imported, the upload to LoTW is also very
easy. Dave has automated the whole process so it's about as simple as
can be. I'd never want to go back to doing it the old way.

free.
