[RTTY] WF1B on a FFFAAASSSTTT computer ??

I was just curious....

I know that WF1B had problems on faster machines, there was some utility
(maxslo?) to slow something down that helped make it run.

Has anyone ever run WF1B on one of the newer AMD or Intel Core 2 processors? 
Has CPU design reached the point of no return for WF1B?
