Just a few operating tips before the contest this weekend:
Rules are here:
http://www.arrl.org/contests/rules/2007/rtty.html
1. Message buffers should have a carriage return at the
beginning and a space at the end
2. End your CQ or QRZ messages with the word CQ or QRZ
3. (DX) Separate numbers with hyphens and/or spaces
4. RST is 599 not 5NN
5. Don't use phrases like "in", "hr in", "nr", "please copy"
etc. in your exchange - keep 'em short! (Al in DE, OK?)
6. Avoid beacon and PSK frequencies (like 14070 and 14100)
7. Send (hiscall) report (mycall) or (hiscall) report (hiscall)
8. Put RTTY in your DX spot comments (WL does this automatically)
73 & HAVE FUN!
