Well, this was an interesting morning. Thanks to Bob (KØRC) I figured out that the MFJ-1279 had to have Jumper 5 between pins 1 and 2 AND the jumper normally on Jumper 6 (which normally keys CW) removed completely. If it is in place only the mark tone will be produced.

As previously noted, the CW cable from the RCA jack on the back of the MFJ-1279 that goes to the TS-2000 key jack must be removed and replaced with a cable that runs from the RCA jack to pin 2 of the ACC2 jack on the TS-2000.

Also, with the TS-2000 in normal FSK and WW in FSK (LSB RTTY) I was transmitting reverse FSK (although I was receiving RTTY signals just fine. When I switched WW to FSK (RTTY R) (which also switches the TS-2000 into FSK Reverse mode) I was transmitting just fine although I had to switch to reverse RTTY on the front panel of WW to be able to receive. All report on the air are that all sounds okay, but it seems strange that I have to have the radio in FSK-Reverse and listen in reverse to make it all work.

At any rate, it is possible to get WinWarbler to key an MFJ-1279 and a TS-2000 in FSK.

Thanks also to Dick (AA5VU), Bill (WN5H), and Ben (WDØ0GTL) for helping with on-air testing.

What needs to happen is to create a second output on the MFJ-1279 for CW so both CW and FSK can be keyed without changing jumpers and cables.

73, Don ADØK
