[RTTY] MTTY and a Linear

A good friend of mine is using MMTTY and could use a little advice in  
setting up his linear. 

He wants to be able to use a linear amp in  addition to his exciter and needs 
a way to generate a PTT signal from the PC,  that keys up the linear several 
milliseconds before it keys the  transceiver.

This would help avoid 'hot switching' the linear's  antenna relay with drive 
already applied. He wants to avoid using a foot switch  plus the keyboard to 
go into transmit.

Can anyone suggest software  that will allow him to get two separately 
time-delayed PTT signals from the COM  ports or USB ports of his control PC?
