Only a few hours spent to test an antenna just istalled.

101 QSO  7'793'463 pts.

All contacts were on 20 and 40 m.

IC-761 100 W, 5BTV ground mounted.

Same JA anomaly here. During the antenna installation around noon time on 
Saturday there was a JF3 working CQM contest CW with a 599+ signal on 20 m. 
It was a clean plain juicy signal without any polar flutter or so. Indeed it 
did not sound like LP. Anyway, when I was ready to start my Volta (around 
20.00 UTC), such signals were long gone...
