[RTTY] 160 meter Activity Night?

Jim, AD6WL and I were chatting the other night on 160 meter RTTY and
we got to wondering if it might be fun to have an Activity Night for
RTTY on topband. 160 meters is different from other bands in some
respects and it might be interesting to play around with it. For one
thing, groundwave is excellent, better than any other band, I believe.
Jim is about 100 miles from me and even running low power he was 20 to
30 over S9.

As I've mentioned before, apparently nobody has ever worked all states
on 160 meter RTTY. Who will be the first? The folks in the midwest
have the distance advantage, but east coast to west coast is doable
too with a good antenna and modest power.

We could start around sunset on the west coast and go at least until
sunset in Hawaii/Alaska or longer.

What would you think about once a month? Perhaps on the 16th, to make
it easy to remember?

Comments welcome.
