towers, would you bother to enter a contest if you were 
told you could only use a tribander fed with 100' of RG-58 
at 50 feet and an trapped inverted V for 80/40?"

Bob asks:
"If your dragster were equipped with a 2,000 bhp nitro burning 
V8, would you bother to enter a drag race if you were told 
you could only use a stock Chevy V6 fed with regular fuel, 
standard street tires, and no aftermarket add-ons?"

One of the goals of contesting was stated as promoting 
participation and activity. Tell me how allowing a technique 
that provides a significant advantage helps promote participation 
and activity? Yeah, like I want to be sitting at the starting line 
in my Chevy Nova when that Top Fuel dragster stages to my left.
