I'm sorry you are becoming annoyed with this, but I would point out
that at least one contest sponsor has made SO1R and SO2R separate
categories - the XE RTTY contest.

I am sure this kind of discussion triggered their decision, and I hope
other contest sponsors will follow. 

Still think it is "useless"?
