"Is there much activity in the last 3-4 hours of CQWW WPX RTTY?
I've always expended my 30 hours as a single op long before then, so I have
no experience with the final hours. 40 and 80 are open from Aruba to Europe
and North America at that time, but if few stations are actually still
operating, it would be a waste of time. Thanks in advance for sharing your
past experience.
I could enter M2, but I'm not sure I have the stamina for 48 hours!"
I'm with you Ed... I don't have the stamina for a 48-hour marathon. Even the 30-something hour contests tax my ability to stay awake and interested.
But to answer your question, from the predictions (below), it looks like the last part of the contest might be cooked out old Sol anyway. I'll be putting my time in during the front part of the contest. I'm not sure whether I'll go all 30 hours or not.

"Another solar windstream from a coronal hole is expected to strike
Earth on Sunday, February 10, causing unsettled conditions. The
predicted planetary A index for February 8 through 15 is 8, 12, 15,
10, 10, 10, 10 and 5. That was from NOAA and the U.S. Air Force,
and Geophysical Institute Prague predicts unsettled conditions
February 8, unsettled to active February 9-10, and unsettled again
on February 11-14."
