I just double checked the ARRL band plan at
<http://www.arrl.org/FandES/field/regulations/bandplan.html>
does not specifically mention RTTY on six meters; however,
it says 50.300 to 50.600 for all modes.
The DOS (Digital on Six) Web page suggest 50.300 for RTTY
<http://www.ykc.com/wa5ufh/DOS/index.html>
50.290 MHz Calling Frequency for PSK31 and Hell modes
50.300 MHz Operating Frequency for RTTY and MFSK
or you can go to
<http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalOnSix/>
Purpose: To encourage the use and development of digital modes
on six meters. Using the traditional modes such as RTTY, PSK, MFSK,
Hellschriber and the New WSJT Modes for Meteor Scatter and Weak
Signal Modes including EME.
Objective: to have hundreds of Six-Meter Stations operating the digital
modes in an efficient manner compatible with all other operators and modes.
50.260 Call freq. for WSJT Modes FSK441 JT6M
50.290 Call freq. for Hell and PSK31
50.300 Call freq. for RTTY and MFSK
There is a good listing of DOS Members and Numbers at
<http://www.ykc.com/wa5ufh/DOS/DOSNumbers.htm>
If you hear activity on 50.125, I suggest you QSY up to 50.300 and listen
for RTTY signals. Call CQ and see what happens!
