This is a reminder to those of you who have not yet submitted your logs to
do so, in Cabrillo format, by Sunday, October 26, 2008 to rtty at cqww.com .
Remember to put your callsign (and nothing else) in the "Subject" line of
your e-mail, and to send your log (with the filename <yourcall>.log) as an
attachment to your e-mail.
If any of you have sent correspondence to I2UIY at cqww.com in the past few
weeks, we did not receive it and cannot obtain it. Accordingly, please
RE-SEND any mail to I2UIY at cqww.com and your mail will now be forwarded to
the new log team.
The new log team is as follows:
Ed, W0YK, is in charge of coordinating the effort from log receipt to
publication of results.
Ken, K1EA, is modernizing the WW RTTY log-checking software. He had been
working on this project with Paolo, and is now completing it in coordination
with Ed.
George, K5TR, assisted by Trey, N5KO, me and Ed, is leading the log "fix"
brigade to deal with log problems (wrong format, missing data, etc.) that
must be addressed before Ken's software (or any other log-checking software)
can review the logs. Problem logs require a lot of time and effort by the
log team, and we would very much appreciate you eliminating these problems
in advance of submitting your log by adhering to the Cabrillo format
specifications for CQWW RTTY. Remember to READ CAREFULLY any message that
the robot returns to you. That message will almost always tell you what
needs to be fixed in your log.
Thanks for your participation in the contest.
Glenn, W6OTC
Contest Director
