Here's some more info

First Anniversary RTTY Sweepstakes was held the weekend of 19-20 Feb 1954.
Reported that over 430 contacts were made during the contest period.
Looks like the winner was W2JAV with 840 points, followed by W8ZM with
800, W6OWP with 708, W6AEE with 672 and W3PYW with 626.  It's mentioned
that an earlier claimed score was reported in QST, but some contacts
had to be disallowed because of operating beyond the contest period.
It's interesting that contacts by band were: 80M, 147; 40M, 235; 20M, 6;
15M, 2; and 2M, 12.  This probably shows that in those ancient days
many stations were using frequency multiplication in the transmitters,
so that the drift gets multiplied with each higher band.  Hence 20M
was just not very popular back then.

Second Annual Sweepstakes, October 30-31, 1954  Winner was W3PYW with 2262
points, followed by W2JAV, 1680; W2BDI, 1640; W6CG, 1616, W9TCJ, 1241;
W8ZM, 1092; W6AEE, 1079...

Second Anniversary SS Contest, 20-21 February 1955
Top scores were W2BDI, 2800; W8ZM, 2600; W3PYW, 2520; W8BL, 2318;
W6CG, 2080; W6AEE, 2000; W9BP, 1840

Second Annual RTTY SS Contest, 29 October 1955
Top scores were W3PYW, 1720; W6MTJ, 1440; W8BL, 1280; W8ZM, 1170;
W9OCV, 1062; W0BP, 1026.  Noted that band conditions were very poor.

Third Anniversary SS Contest, 17-18 February 1956
VE7KX, 3968; W3PYW, 3744; W2PBG, 3402; W0BP, 3240; W2JAV, 2475; W6MTJ, 2420.

Narrow shift (less than 850 Hz) was authorized beginning in March, 1956.

Third Annual RTTY SS Contest, 2-4 November 1956.
VE7KX, 5550; W2RUI, 4452; W0BP, 4140; W2JAV, 3753; W9TCJ, 3591;
W6MTJ, 3537.  ZL1WB was the first DX station to submit a log, getting
221 points for receive-only logging and 70 points for two-way QSOs.

Fourth Anniversary RTTY Contest, 1-2 March 1957
Lockport Radio Club, 2404; W2RUI, 2376; W2JAV, 2156; W0BP, 2058;
W3PYW, 1980; W6AEE, 1890.  ZL1WB was again present with 7 points
for receive-only and 2 points for 2-way contacts.

1957 RTTY SS Contest
W0BP, 5500; W2RUI, 5440; W2TKO, 4680; W3PYW, 4672;
and W5YM with 1680.

An informal 170Hz shift contest was announced for 15-16 March.
