While FSK as implemented in many of the current rigs is a 
kluge and may not generate the absolute minimum bandwidth, 
it is still far better/cleaner than the AFSK generated by 
rigs with the processor turned on, direct modulator feeds 
with hum or common mode RF feedback, open mics in the shack, 
overdrive microphone preamplifiers and operating system
sounds.  

FSK is like the comment often applied to capitalism ... it's 
the worst system there is except for all the others.
