I did not say that you need to turn on VOX on your rig.  What I said  
is that there is VOX circuitry inside the SignaLink which generates  
PTT for you.

The VOX (audio actuated) PTT of the SignaLink is not fast enough to do  
J2A (which you need for HSCW meteor scatter or diddle-less Feld Hell).
