The 18th running of the North American RTTY Sprint is this Saturday
evening,
local time. (00-04Z, Sunday 11 October) Mark your calendar for a fun
evening. Assemble of team of up to ten single-ops and challenge the
perennial teams from NCCC and SWACC. It's a great way to increase
participation and build contesting skill within your club or across the
continent with other contesters. While the Sprint format can be
challenging
at first, it becomes easier with practice and builds skill for other
contests and general operating. And, the four hours leave most of your
weekend available for other activities.

Rules are at http://www.ncjweb.com/sprintrules.php
Team registration is at http://www.ncjweb.com/rttysprintteamreg.php

P.S. The Makrothen RTTY contest, initiated in 2004, is now scheduled on
this weekend too. However, its format is three distinct 8-hour contest
periods and 00-08Z Sunday is an off-period. So, RTTY die-hards can do
both
contests.
