[RTTY] Topband: 160m in RTTY Contests

If these two contests are successful promoting RTTY on 160, others will surely follow. The band won't be as serene as it usually is, but with the sunspots on the increase it may be nice to hear some activity in the future.

I doubt it will ever compare to 40 on some contest weekends. I'd be inclined to have activity above 1850, at least for the US.

It's interesting that some folks are still spreading the myth that one "needs" high power to work the Top Band successfully. I strongly disagree with that concept, and I'm sure there are more than a few who will back me up...

If QRM is the issue, maybe restricting everyone to 100 watts max is a good idea, for all the contests (picturing the Hindenburg coming down in flames)...

As I recall there are several PSK events on 160 and I've never heard any complaints about them.
