[RTTY] Question about the fan on my FT-1000MP Mark V

Hello,

Is there a way to verify proper operation of the cooling fan on the
FT-1000MP Mk V? 

Today while running 100 watts on RTTY calling in a pile-up the cooling fins
were extremely hot. With a temperature hot to the touch the fan should have
come on but it wasn't running.  In times past I recall the fan running under
less heating conditions. 

Any advice?
