[RTTY] No RTTY Contests in June - Replacement for ANARTSContest?

Just to make things clear from the BARTG point of view, we have no hold on
the ANARTS contest or any date. Nobody 'owns' a date, nobody can give or
refuse 'consent' to use a date for any purpose!

We only got involved at short notice to make sure the ANARTS contest ran in
2009 and made it clear that we had no intention to run any 'ANARTS' contest
in the future.

There was some interest in a high speed RTTY contest; it seemed sensible to
try it for the first time on what was a clear weekend for RTTY contests,
hence the June 12th date. I think it would be better for any other new
contest to use a different weekend, but that decision is up to the
organisers. My personal view is that there are already too many contests for
normal RTTY and maybe the 75 baud contest is a bit different.

BARTG Contest Manager
