I was on a bit before 0000Z last night and there was activity. I agree that
activity starts as it gets dark. I was on a couple different times for a
total of about 1 hour and worked 9 new states for a total of 17 states in
the last 2 nights. I didn't find the band open to the southwest as it was
the previous night. KK5OQ was in and out as was Dick, AA5VU, when I worked
him. There was strong CW activity on or near 1808 around 0300Z. I then
worked a few RTTY stations up above 1809. I could hear a weak RTTY station
under the CW that probably couldn't hear the CW at his location.
