I see nothing wrong with using the amp as long as it is running at 100 watts or less. I have often thought about doing that, since all I have now is an Icom 757 and hate to run RTTY at 100 watts. I could save the radio and the amp could idle along at 100 watts. 73 Stu K4MIL
