For me, when running FSK with my TS-2000 I can take advantage of the tight
filters which are essential in a contest. In AFSK the radio operates in SSB
mode and the filters aren't as narrow. Other radios support that better.

That's the primary reason for me. I also don't have to worry about adjusting
the sound card interface when running FSK.
