Strange as it may seem, I have sometimes found that contesters aren't all  
that interested in my personal concerns, so I prefer not to trouble them.   
But not wanting to be seen as unfriendly, I've updated my ending  running 
macro to:
 
 
TU %c BEST OF 73S TO YOU AND YOURS GOOD HEALTH AND GL IN  TEST
MAY THE ROAD RISE TO MEET YOU
MAY THE WIND BE ALWAYS AT YOUR BACK
MAY THE SUN SHINE WARM UPON YOUR FACE
AND RAINS FALL SOFT UPON YOUR FIELDS
AND UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN
MAY GOD HOLD YOU IN THE HOLLOW OF HIS HAND
CQ CQ TEST AB1J AB1J CQ
 
Note that I start with TU and end with CQ following accepted best  
practices.   
 
I always have to CQ all over again at the end since no one has stuck  
around.
