Until recently SSTV was not digital - it was strictly analog! Even
today, most SSTV signals are analog (continuously varying tone) not
digital (discrete frequencies representing specific hue, saturation
and intensity values or even encoding the information as data). That
may be changing just as other video services have changed over the
years but SSTV "ain't there yet."
