I bought a used Edgeport/4 for $30 last August on eBay. I later learned
that they were selling 8-port ones for $35 or so. The seller then was
http://stores.ebay.com/nationwidesurplus in Phoenix. I dont see any
Edgeports in their eBay store now but there are a few 2-port models for
under $30.
My 4-port worked fine with my HB FSK/PTT interface (am now using a
microKEYER II), a Green Heron RT-21, my APC UPS (from
http://www.refurbups.com/ ), K3, and 87A.
As I remember, Windows 7 automatically installed the driver though the
manufacturer's website,
http://www.digi.com/products/usb/edgeport.jsp#overview, has them too.

Am I looking at the right product? The Digi Edgeport/2 is going for
$100+, the /4 is $200+, and the /8 is listed $300+ on eBay. Looks like a
nice solution if you need a multi-port solution.
But I was thinking along the lines of a single-port $20 device... like
these on eBay: *http://tinyurl.com/4x6tfx8*
Or these on the open web... *http://tinyurl.com/3ujxn2h*
In either case, there are a variety of solutions that allow an RTTY
operator to use century old technology on modern equipment!
