Hi Phil. I appreciate (and hopefully others do too) you running on 10 and 15 meters where we could find you instead of hoping you would find us! hi
I had a great time during the contest in a part-time effort and ran SO2R high power (which is rare for me). I had some great runs on both 10 and 15 meters and on 20 meters toward the end. Don't remember which day, I thought BV100 was calling me on ten meters on my run frequency but it turned out that he was calling CQ. I had to wait a few minutes for his signal to build, but I did work him and QSY'd. VU2NKS was a new band country for me on 10 meters on Saturday.
But the best contact of the weekend had to be when an FR4 station called me (can't remember if it was 10 or 15 meters) and told me I was his first ever RTTY contact. That was way cool!
JARTS has always been one of my favorite contests. I will be asking for logs from JARTS participants so I can do a report on the age of RTTY contesters. I will announce this when I'm ready. Right now, please do not send me any logs.
I think it would be interesting to see what the average and mean age would be and break it down into continents, etc. I worked 5or 6 YL's too.
