If you have an Icom radio and are starting with a Signallink as your sound card interface, this simple and clever modification to the device basically brings out the FSK keying pins from the accessory cable to a jack on the Signallink. From there, it's a standard FSK interface (i.e. transistor switch) to a standard serial port.

Subject: [RTTY] Icom FSK interface
A ham friend called last night he wants to get on RTTY with a PC and an Icom IC-756 Pro III and he plans to use FSK. He wanted to know if there was an inexpensive interface device to handle the connections between the PC and the Pro III.
As a Mac user I only use AFSK and could not help him. The SignaLink USB is good for AFSK but does not support FSK. How do FSK users handle the connections between the PC and and Icom?
I referred him to AA5AU's web page and he did not see any mention of using something like the SignaLink for FSK.
