This subject has drifted way off topic. So I will give my concluding rant.
If you want to run So1R, then do it. I ran So1r and then So2V on a single
amp/rig for a couple of years. If you want to run So2r, then gear up and do
it. Yes it takes more gear. Yes it gives better scores, with the right op.
And no, not everyone can do it.
But it's a different category. So there is no comparison in the score.
That issue has been beat to death and we can reread about it in the archives
if one is interested.
The key point is that N1MM supports all these modes - and more - like the
multi-combos. It's a great logger.
Just like there are great ops. There are great single op contesters like
Mike (who is pretty good as a So2r op as well...), and others. Just as
there are great So2r and So3r ops like Don and Ed.
So if a guy does not like his results, the place to look is right there on
your desk, not on someone elses. Improve your operation skill, your setup,
and learn from what the top guys are doing. Don has been knocking the
scoreboards for years with arguably a modest setup, a less than ideal
location and with 100W. Don, Mike and Ed, over the years, have given plenty
of advice on how to get it right, do it better, and it's all mostly splashed
over web sites, public forums, reflector notes and things like K3LR's CTU.
A great op gets great scores, even with mid level stuff. A poor op (like I
am) uses So2r and power to make up for his lack of knowledge and skill. The
key point I guess I am trying to make is that working on your skills will
give you better scores - regardless of your hardware and geographic
limitations.
And whatever cat you want to participate in, N1MM has an operation mode that
can support it.

I hope we are not going to get into the debate again that SO2R should be a
different category :-). A single op is a single op no matter how many radios
or antennas or amps he /she has....right??
