I am definitely not the first to use it.  I plagiarized it from someone decades ago.

Formally (like in the ARRL Handbook chapter) I have been calling it "Amateur RTTY." 

I am also not the first one to affectionately call Crossed Ellipses "Crossed Bananas" either.  That term probably predates "Steam RTTY" even.
