Facebook and other Social networking sites are a necessary part of 
modern day life.
If a business wants to get to its customers it's on FB, because that's 
where they are.
And that goes for Amateur Radio vendors and clubs as well. Your 
membership is on FB, you need to be too.

And FYI: The ARRL, CRRL, RSGB, NZART, AES, HRO, Yaesu, Icom, Kenwood, 
and Alpha, to name a few.
All either have Facebook pages and/or associated groups on FB.
So I guess nobody wants to be out there huh...

On the privacy side, It's simple. If you don't want somebody looking at 
it, Don't put it out there.
