[RTTY] Arrl requests digital mode comments

Why worry? It says right there in the ARRL petition, "...and if you like
your (outdated, obsolete, antiquated) RTTY, then you can KEEP YOUR RTTY.
PERIOD."

This is exactly the kind of spectrum grab that needs to be prevented.

Notice they're already talking about *50 KHz* on 20 meters for the
*exclusive use* of "fast digital modes." Not only that, they want it
where *international users* can make use of it and that would for all
intents and purposes mean a "takeover"or 14.050-14.100! Applied to
30 Meters that would be a takeover of at least 15 KHz - on 40 meters
they would want 45 KHz where it does not interfere with international
phone use or 7025-7080 (they cant' go into the Extra class segment
because their users aren't licensed there). On 80 Meters, their 15%
would take *the entire CW/digital band* except for the Extra class CW
segment and on 160 meters their 15% (30 KHz) would wipe out the entire
"CW/data" segment if one starts at 1810 to be compatible with the
lower frequency limit in many countries.

With 99% of all non-voice activity being conducted using modes less than
500 Hz occupied bandwidth (eQSL database), it is clear that 99% of the
available "RTTY, data" spectrum should be reserved for modes less than
500 Hz bandwidth and in no case should wideband activity be permitted
in *at least* the bottom 100 KHz on each band to protect traditional
amateur activity.
