[RTTY] Some basic RTTY questions

Thanks Al and Chen for the detailed explanations.  Things are making more
sense now.

And I seem to be absolutely mistaken as to how I had my rig set up last
year.  This evening, I couldn't decode a single RTTY signal on the NCCC
sprint.  It was just gibberish.  I switched to my Signalink and instantly
began seeing call signs.  So something is different.

I'll certainly go pick myself up a decent card with a line in.  It seems
silly not to.
