[RTTY] Mouse performance

The optical mice are sensitive to the surface they are used on. Just about anything shiny can cause problems.

On the other hand, if the computer in question had a PS/2 port to plug a 15 year old mouse into, the USB port and its driver could be the problem. PS/2 ports disappeared altogether quite some years ago and the USB spec has undergone some changes in the interim.

My experience does not match Joe's.

Like Joe, I used a Logitech Marble trackball for years. I was delighted.

Like Joe, I switched to a wireless Logitech trackball. I am delighted. NO
issues. No lags. No RFI and my shack is very high RF intensity--nearest
wire element less than ten feet away. No anything.

My wife didn't like the mouse tail. I bought a Logitech wireless mouse for
the office computer. NO issues.
