YOU did a great job and spent a lot of time for the benefit of us.

I am pretty sure it was'nt always fun, but You always reacted
gentlemenlike.

Beside our thanks, I wish you for the future all the very best (i.e. health
etc.), and enjoy the (additional) time you will have.
