For RTTY contests using CC Clusters, you can eliminate spots that have non RTTY modes in the comments. For skimmers spots this eliminates ALL other modes. For non skimmer spots, it removes some of the non RTTY spots. This stops you from wasting time trying to work needed mults that happen to be on PSK.
In CC user you setup the Keyword filter to Reject CW, PSK, JT65, Olivia, SSTV, SSB, LSB, USB, BEACON,etc. This really clears out all the non workable spots from the band map. Of course you also want to reject all spots from the phone bands by setting the band mode filters as well. These filters also really help the clusters as they decrease the number of unwanted spots sent to users.

When using CC-User, I think it is very important to log into a
node running CC-Cluster software. These nodes remove skimmer
dupes, and do quality-checking before a spot is ever posted. I
have used the following nodes successfully:
VE7CC-1
AE5E-2
W0MU-1
Many other CC-Cluster nodes are listed in CC-User's node list.
Nodes running other software, especially AR v.6, may not be fully
compatible with CC-User.

Last week, Dave K6LL, mentioned the program "CC User" and how he
uses it to
filter Packetcluster spots. I have to admit that I had never
heard of CC
User but I went ahead and downloaded and installed it on my
computer
(Windows 10) and it works great. I see that it is a tremendous
asset for
filtering Packetcluster spots. It takes the guesswork out of
filtering.
Previously I had not been filtering any of the RTTY skimmer spots
during
contests and it was causing the Bandmap to fill up with spots of
stations I
could not hear. In the past I thought I wanted this so I could
see everyone
on the band. But there are just too many spots now and the
Bandmap is way
too crowded which makes it nearly useless. CC Cluster works with
both N1MM+,
WriteLog and any other program that uses Telnet for Packetcluster
spots.

Thanks to Dave for bringing it to my attention and thanks to Lee,
VE7CC, for
an outstanding cluster and for CC User. I will be using it for
now on.
