Hi Robb,
I should agree with you Robb. BTW we have had four QSO in the JARTS as
IW1QN: thank from him and me.
We went on running onto two big beams ... and a vertical full size loop
on 80m. A monster bigger than my house.
We have you on 80,20,15 and mostly for the joy on us on 10. The 10
contact is the nicest as the prop was very poor. The missed 40 speaks by
itself.
That is our Club Station, IQ1RY, and I am happy that everybody there
think as the waste majority to first line and second line contest.
So, JARTS, WAE, VOLTA, and maybe the SARTG and the RTTY roundup, are the
year to year places where to diddle with my own club ticket.
It is not an effortless and free ride, but I could invite friends and
receive guests to operate from there. Teaming is an exceptional
experience, each time.
Even as it was the worst as at 5D5A in CQ WPX RTTY.

Nonetheless the point of John is extremely appealing: It's a nonsense
to impose a rule that couldn't be enforced.
Those are the times we together live.

It's not easy to mediate the two points, but I am much more oriented to
what John wrote.

As there doesn't exist major or minor contests. Or US friends may write
here: bullsh.....
As any contest is made from single operators who strive to give 001,
that 001 would even be a 2000 for anyone other: that's a sequence of 001
become more and more.
As there we still have to match each time ourselves with radios, and
whatever it means, and other slices of our life.
As bigger and smaller stations, contests editions by year, and our life
may change step by step. But still we have the pleasure to measure
ourself against the next step, not the top. What is the top? Usually a
blatantly unenlightened poor soul that live only for himself.
As I get frustrated having had a fail but not understanding where it
was, strategy, power, operation choices. Mumbling and mumbling all around.
As I attempt to learn from other in-contest choices and habits if the
same would be applicable.

I should go for rules that could be enforced, as any other difference
could not be changed. Doing my best with whatever I have.
Tomorrow is another day. Next year is another contest, even the same
JARTS, or WAE, or younameit.

PS It's like to drive on a multilane highway, everybody pay, and get and
out in wherever. The highway is the same for all of us.
One day is raining, one day is sunshine, but every days on my same
routes I see often the same peoples.
Some are friendly, other not, also I could look friendly or not.
Some make mistakes sometime. Other make mistakes sometime.
Still the motorway is the same, as it is the same the weather (well,
almost in our case), but the cars aren't the same kind for each of us.
I have the same attention for anyone as anyone deserve it.
Even for the one I could not place in the log as I am not able to
receive him weak signal and frantic attempt to catch mine.
SRY DR OM UR QSA IS TOO WEAK PSE TRY AGAIN LATER ON IW1AYD it is only a
click but I hope it means a lot for him as for me.
